London: 03 March 2007 - PDQ has secured a migration project from WebGUI to Joomla. WebGUI is an open source Content Management System (CMS) that has evolved over the years. PDQ were part of this open source project and developed the WebGUI All-in-one Installer for Windows.
However, WebGUI has not sustained the stability that is required by professional websites and intranets, but a new project, also Open Source has evolved. Joomla. Based on the very popular Mambo CMS, Joomla has a lot of respect and support in the industry. Our customer requires a system that is maintainable and the natural migration from WebGUI to Joomla is an intelligent choice. This customer has a strong internal user base. The existing WebGUI site was used as an intranet for the company's users to upload and post internal information to the site including document templates and IT user support requests. Our task is to convert the WebGUI backend CMS to Joomla in a seamless manner without affecting users. A task that PDQ enjoys, a challange in both web and database design. If you are looking for a reliable content management system for either internet or intranet, contact PDQ! |
